think this will greatly impact the business there.. same situation couple of years ago when they attempt to push hotel in Area G to only offer day rate... for the next month business drop by more than 50%... really wonder how Joo Chiat hotels going to survive on that... |

The hotels will suffer significant losses, these hotels are popular for KTV customers. After KTV close, some customers will tabao the gals out to hotel just beside. |

Since JC is force into this situation the vietnam gem why not go over to GL. Since we are at financial crisis more competition might bring down the price :). Looking fwd for multi country choice to choose from. We have PRC, Indon, Siam & our north land servicing us now, with one more choice why not.

Wow...bros do take note of this report ! [ Clamp down on hourly rated hotels. ]
Perhaps we could book a full day room, 3 to 4 of us & share it among ourself with the ladies...hehe ! :D Read this morning newspaper...Rising property prices to get airing in the House. Copy from the The Straits Times ( 12th Sept 2009 )... "Mr Christopher de Souza ( Holland - Bukit Timah GRC ) wants to know if the Goverment would consider tightening the rules for hourly rated hotels. He sees a worrying trend of such hotels - which typically attract activities such as prostitution - creeping out of the red-light districts." He told The Straits Times " I have been getting feedback from constituents who are seeing an increase in vice activities beyond the conventional boundaries of Geylang. One way to address this is to clamp down on hourly rated hotels". He is raising it as "a possible solution and would like to see what the Goverment has to say". On Monday, three Bills tabled during the last sitting will also be debated - the Private Education Bill, the Copyright (Amendment) Bill and the Casino Control (Amendment) |
