A person who grew up in a Muslim society believes Muslims can't be wrong.
A person who grew up in an authoritarian society believes that the dictator is god.
I feel fortunate that I live in a society with no censorship; I am free to read both the New York Times as well as the Chinese Global Times. I can openly criticize Donald Trump without repercussion. The back pages of the New York Times has pro-Trump as well as anti-Trump opinions. I don't see any anti-Xi opinions on any page of the Global Times.
