Hair Loss treatment?

Hey bros,

I know this is hardly the adult discussion about sex topic. But I suppose healthy hair growth would help in our confidence with women. So I want to know if any guys have successfully used any of those Trichologist services (like Svenson, Beijing101, yunnam hair care etc).

I'm starting to have this thinning patch at the back of my head. Actually appeared few years back but it's been slowly growing bigger so I think i better tackle the problem first before it gets worse.

I've never used such trichologist services before so would like to hear the opinions of any bros who have done this before. The more interesting thing is i'm only in my mid twenties, and i'm pretty sure I dun have male pattern hair loss which is the 'receding hairline' type of problem.

Erm bro, if their methods or products work so good do you think they still need to spend so much $ to advertise? Save you $ for bonking better

I had similar problem, went to a clinic that specialized in skin and hair loss.
I wasn't convinced I had that problem until being forced by my GF to get help.
Male pattern hair loss can happen to anyone and age group.

Get it diagnosed and the doc can give his/her advice .... consultation is cheap but the medication and hair care product may costs quite a bit....

do something before it gets too late .....

From what I knew, such places charge packages ranges from a couple of hundreds to about S$3K or more, and result varies. Real good? Hmmmm....let's hear more from other bros. Maybe you can go but start off with a simple one and not signing up big package.

I had tried consultation when they were having some promotional package. Be forewarned. They are hard selling, aggressive. Worst than insurance salesmen. The package depends on how many treatment you required or how serious yr hair-loss. The price of the package is like $1,500 to $3,000. They have those computer technology software to show u all yr problems area, plus introducing the products u need like pills to take, shampoo, conditioner, exterior medication that smell like ginseng etc. The are really very hard sell & aggressive. The consultant are very well train with sales objections. They had every answer to yr objection. From one consultant they brought in another 2 senior consultant to handle me. I was grilled for almost 90 minutes till they finally give up. I had tried Yun Nam. Unless u r really serious for treatment & have deep pocket, OTW be prepared to be grilled. They just wanted u to sign a package. Whether it is effective, that is another Q. If not effective, I believe the company would have close shop years ago. It is a matter how u evaluate the "Value for money" issues. Good luck to you guys.

go and see your doctor ..... you are probably suffered from the usual men's hait loss problem.

He would probably introduce you to PROPECIA ... a kind of drug that can slow down male patern hair loss .... everyday 1 pills .... monthly damage about $90+, and you have to take it long term, once stop taking for 12 months you will go back to original baldness.

Brother...Bob, I think you are right abt it. Such drugs are very expensive one.... My friend took it, do have some progress in due time, but suffer from low sperm count. In the end, he decided to stop after the second month.

Threadstarter, Don't try those Trichologist services lah.... One of my friend spent about 4K in Yunam, can't even grow a single hair. They give empty promises one. You should make a visit to Singapore Skin Center for an assessment first. If there's a chance to reinstate some hair growth, the doctors will help one, if your hair roots are completely gone, tell me how those centres can help???

Absolutely. Potential clients must always read the fine print, always got disclaimer one...hair loss, like acne problems are medical - cannot be treated by cosmetic centers - slap on some mudpack, massage bits of seaweed onto the scalp, how to grow hair

Some claim body weak also can cause hair loss, like weak Kidney or heart, how true ?

I've seen GP regarding hairloss b4, was given the choice of pills or some spray. Was forewarned that pill may cause temp ED so opted for the spray. The spray is 5% minoxidile or something like that lah. Regain and Growell carry this spray and is available from local pharmacy. Needs about 4-6 mths to see the effect. Side effect for me was dandruff, itchy scalp and rashes on the body. An indication of allergic reaction. so after 6 mths I stop using.

Ray06, trust me.... if you are stressed over a period of time, due to whatever reasons..... your hair will start to thin, and suffer from temporary hair-loss, or Alopecia Areata if you called it.
